Hyderabad: The south zone task force and Mirchowk police arrested three persons who were selling fake educational certificates. The police seized fake certificates of 24 universities, 40 mobile phones and property documents from Vemineni Nagarjuna, 33, MD of Arjuna Academy, manager Gopireddy Jyothi, 40, manager and one Mogulla Naresh Goud, 32.

The academy was focused on conducting classes for open schooling and distance exams, South zone DCP P. Sai Chaitanya

The trio hired tele-callers and began offering



university certificates at a high cost to those who had failed the exams or dropped out. Two persons, Aravind of Kolkata and Chinmai Biswas from Delhi, were absconding.

Sai Chaitanya appealed to general public not to believe in those offering fake educational consultancies, mediators or agents of other state universities who made false promises of providing certificates through the back door without any exams. Engaging in illegal activities in this nature may result in legal consequences.
