FCI sells 5.40 lakh metric tonnes of wheat in 4th e-auction

New Delhi: A total of 5 lakh 40 thousand metric tonne wheat has been sold to 1049 bidders in 23 States in the 4th e-auction by the Food Corporation of India on Wednesday. A total quantity of 11 lakh 57 thousand metric tonne was offered during the 4th e-auction. The auction was held under the Government's initiative towards market



intervention to control the price of wheat and atta.

In the 4th e-auction against the all-India weighted average selling price received was 2193.82 rupees per quintal stocks were sold for an all-India weighted average reserve price of 2137.04 rupees per quintal.
